I wanted to reply old user..but it wouldn't let me..

that has been my hard part in life...and I learned...self discipline is really so important...

I was one of the many" wayward kids" who pretty much grew up on their own, without any parental supervision...

and what did all that freedom reap me...

lack of self control and self discipline...


it takes a lot of hard effort..and sometimes...it actually hurts...to strive for righteousness.

but self control is a fruit of the Spirit...and God requires that fruit manifest in us...

I guess..that is another way..that in our weakness..He is strong...

but I think I hear what you are saying...

that we have to put an effort in to it...we have to purpose, strive, and work hard for holiness...
